Sewer Camera Inspection Chula Vista, CA

Sewer Camera Inspection Services in Chula Vista

Sewer camera inspections are a state-of-the-art process and serve an integral role in various repair procedures, including trenchless-based processes. At Option One Plumbing & Rooter, our inspections provide us with a non-invasive way for our technicians to review the precise conditions inside your sewer pipeline without obtrusive excavation.

Prior to beginning with our inspection process, we first locate a suitable access point for the camera to be sent into the pipes through. This access point can include a cleanout or small hole that is dug by our technicians, but it is designed to be minimally invasive and non-disruptive, preserving the driveway and landscaping on your property. The sewer camera is a high-resolution, waterproof, robotic device that is attached to an optic cable when it is inserted into the pipe. The cable feeds the video footage back to a monitor for our technicians to view as they direct the camera through the pipes. With a full, 360-degree view of the inner circumference of the pipeline, we won’t miss any problem areas during the inspection, and this will give our technicians the information we need to provide our customers with an accurate diagnosis.

It is possible that the problem identified through the sewer camera inspection is a clog or a heavy layer of corrosion. Under these circumstances, water jetting is often performed to forcefully scour the interior of the pipeline clean. If cracks or breaks are found in the pipe, additional trenchless sewer repairs or replacements are suggested. The cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining process is often used to repair cracks, once the cause such an invading tree root ball has been blasted away with water jetting. The CIPP liner process consists of inserting a liner coated with an epoxy resin into the pipeline. The sewer camera is again brought in to establish that the liner is placed into the correct portion of the pipeline. The liner is then inflated, pressing the epoxy resin against the inner wall of the pipeline and holding it in position until the hardening and curing process has completed. Once the hardening process is concluded, the liner is removed and our cameras are deployed for a final time to confirm that the installation was done successfully.

If a pipeline needs to be replaced, a process called pipe bursting is recommended. When a pipeline requires replacement, the trenchless process of pipe bursting is engaged. Pipe bursting is the process of pulling a new pipe through the old pipe, bursting the old pipe into fragments that are pushed into the surrounding soil as the new pipe takes its place. The sewer camera inspection is a necessary component of each trenchless sewer repair or replacement process and is used throughout each phase of our work to ensure that our work is well done. Our experienced staff at Option One Plumbing & Rooter is ready to assist customers across California, including in Chula Vista. With years of experience in repair work and sewer camera inspection services, we can guarantee that our accurate diagnostics and careful jobs will meet your needs.
